@afc78Wimbledon@DonEideann@reesefletcher_ Think if Matty’s still around and a target man does come in, can’t see Bugiel being 3rd or possibly even 4th choice behind Hackford.
Foyo another of the front players I’d be comfortable in letting go.
Personally I’d rather loan Sasu out. Kelly sold and Stewart no return.
@DonEideann@reesefletcher_ Solid list. Aside from this, need to bring in a target man up front.
Selling Harbottle was a mistake, highlighted by the recent run.
If Reeves goes, as I agree with, need someone to partner Smith. Don’t think Maycock starts week in/out for me.
Hackford needs a better system.
@chicgibson@Clinnick1@ScotRail There’s an inconsistent use of 3 cars. Nothing that makes sense anyway. It’s usually 3 cars mixed within 6 cars rather than say all the Larkhalls as 3’s etc.
I would also expect the new units to be 100mph capable, if they are being used elsewhere.
@chicgibson@Clinnick1@ScotRail Hopefully, 5 car 23m stock would probably do. That would be fairly close to the current 6 cars.
I’m hoping for Aventras but we’ll have to see what else is offered. Can’t see it being Hitachi after the issues with the 385’s process.
@chicgibson@Clinnick1@ScotRail Would expect every 2 of the outgoing trains to be replaced by 1 new one. Fixed 5/6 car trains seem the obvious thing to do.
@every_station To those wondering, it is possible to avoid coaches completely but it relies on a lot of time and patience. Via Aberdeen and across is the only possible way to do it.
@Jacleby@philatrail No coincidence that these don’t run on Saturdays - when the 4tph still exists.
Talk that the 4tph during the week will return eventually. Still got them in the peaks though. Can’t see the 4tph via ADR/BHG ever returning though.
@bordersbankie@philatrail Because it potentially abstracts from ScotRail rather than growing the market - usually a no no when it comes to open access.
@westmidsbuses They’ve gone mad on these wraps. They’re everywhere and I would be frightened to know the cost of it. Then again, when you see its Emirates. All of a sudden you’re a lot less surprised.
In Edinburgh alone they’re getting 10 trams - 5 done so far.
@ShropsP@philatrail Could easily be the 180’s if they wanted to do the Alstom thing.
So many barriers for WSMR to overcome though. Long way to go I’d say.
@ShropsP@philatrail That’s if that application even happens. Numerous issues from past failures to unproven books.
If XC is getting more stock it would have to be the 221’s. The 222’s would be a microfleet which isn’t ideal.
The 7 cars won’t exist anymore with Lumo having 6 car versions.
@ShropsP@philatrail Bit non standard for XC. They can’t work with the voyagers at all. Ideal for them would be to get the last 8 221’s. Needs the DfT to be willing for it to happen though.
222’s are about as best as SR can hope for. A good refurb and I’m sure they’d work well.
