Here we go again! Another hearing loop installed and not functioning. Staff do not know how to troubleshoot it. Conference centre stunned when there is a fixed monitoring solution available to overcome these problems! #hearingloop@GITHL1 @AnnaBergholtz
Great article by @LoopWisconsin about Assistive Listening Systems and why hearing loops is the outperforming other alternatives as it provides easy to use direct audio transmission to the hearing devices and brings "binoculars" for everone who cannot hear. https://t.co/hJ0i7olXPQ
International standard IEC 62489-1 stipulates hearing loops should have fixed monitoring so that non technical staff and audience easy can verify its function.
Swedish blog post about what hearing accessibility is at Unique Power website. Unique power is a community founded by @AnnaBergholtz that works for a more inclusive and sustainable society.
News update! Say hello to T-SIGN Desk Mini! Finally there is an easy way for staff to operate hearing loops in the reception desks so it provides full value for the patrons. @HLAA@HRFriks@HLF_horsel@LoopWisconsin
@ihlma_org Great news! We have been doing hearing loops for buses for many years and it is a very appreciated technology to provide accessibility for hard of hearing people in buses all over the world.
Our spokeswoman, @JulietteSterke1 as a TED star. Here she explains what you might not know about hearing aids and why we need assistive listening systems like #HearingLoops.

@ihlma_org Great that you raise awareness about this. When it comes to hearing loops it is also rather common that many working with hearing loops are not aware of the standards. And if they know about a standard it is commonly IEC 60118-4, but not IEC 62489-1 and TC IEC 63079:2017.
@ihlma_org Good. Please also spread information about IEC 62489-1 that many in the industry are not aware of. That standard specifies measurement and performance of the system components in a hearing loop system and aims to bring more quality into hearing loop systems.
@ihlma_org Great IHLMA! Now this guide is also updated with info about fixed and portable monitoring devices so that the whole sound component chain that makes the loop system should be easy for non technical staff and audience to verify.
@ihlma_org Great initiative IHLMA! Also important to remind about the importance theupdated standard that includes monitoring as part of a hearing loop system. A placard says nothing about the status of the "chain of sound components" that need to function for hearing loop to function.
Yesterday we tested GN ReSound Nexia hearing aid with support of Auracast. Exciting technology and much to come. We are thrilled being part of this development and making sure hearing accessibility is widened all over the world. #auracast#hearingloop
To all of you advocating for hearing loops all over the world: don´t forget to raise the importance of equipment so that non-technical staff and audience easy can verify function of the hearing loop on a day to day basis. #telecoil#assistivelistening#hearingloops#hearingloss
