Hi @VodafoneUK there seems to be a broadband outage in the Oxford area which has been going on since lunchtime yesterday - any chance of an update on what's happening and when this will be fixed? Working from home will burn through mobile data pretty swiftly, y'know ...

@TheRegencyCook Had it, many a time, as a kid, courtesy of my German mother. It's called Schwarzwurzel in German, literally 'blackroot'. Delicious cooked and then served in a little melted butter. I believe she'd season it with a little salt and nutmeg.
@SirKneeland@JudithLHarvey@GeorgeMonbiot An aside: there's currently much debate in the UK about social care and its cost / funding etc. Again, the German model is based on universal insurance and was introduced in 1995 (after decades of debate). Again, the important point is that adequate funding is essential.
@SirKneeland@JudithLHarvey@GeorgeMonbiot Just for info, the German universal insurance-based model was created on Bismarck's initiative in 1883. It therefore predates the NHS by 65 years. Both systems have flaws, no doubt. Both can deliver good healthcare. Both need adequate funding.
