Despite the fact that 25% of Michigan residents have a disability, 84% of polling places in Metro Detroit were not fully accessible according to a recent audit of Metro Detroit polling places conducted by Detroit Disability Power and The Carter Center.
Detroit Disability Power @DisabilityPower found that just 57% of Detroit polling locations had working voter assistance terminals, 51% had accessible parking, 35% had accessible entrances, and only 12% had accessible voting booths.
