Ms. Fetene, an Ethiopian national, won the award in the category of Young Talents from Africa. While acknowledging Ms. Fetene’s achievement, ACEII PTRE Centre Leader, Sir, Prof. Ambrose Kiprop congratulated her, noting her outstanding performance in the field of energy studies.
Ms. Elshaday Mulu Fetene, a graduate of MSc. in Energy Studies from Moi University, was recognized among researchers of the 15th edition of the Eni Award, a prize that has become an international reference point for research in the fields of energy and environment.
This follows her excellent Master of Science thesis at Moi University and her exceptional proposal on the production of biohydrogen from fruit and vegetable waste, particularly abundant in Ethiopia, using catalysts from low-cost natural and synthetic materials.
