One of my priorities as U.S. Ambassador has been a modernized U.S.-Croatia Double Taxation Treaty. At #3SI2026 today, I was proud to join @mfin_RH Finance Minister Coric in signing a protocol that represents major progress toward that goal. A new treaty would reduce barriers to investment, increase transparency, and unlock new opportunities for businesses on both sides of the Atlantic. Our U.S.-Croatia partnership continues to deliver real economic results.

Spojené štáty, spoločnosť Westinghouse Electric Company a Slovensko budú spoločne pracovať na úvodnej inžinierskej a projektovej štúdii pre možnú výstavbu nového jadrového zdroja v Jaslovských Bohuniciach, financovanej prostredníctvom programu FIRST amerického ministerstva zahraničných vecí.

Vyhlásenie podpísali námestníčka ministra zahraničných vecí USA Allison Hooker, viceprezidentka Westinghouse Margaret Cosentino a ministerka hospodárstva SR Denisa Saková, čím potvrdili spoločný záväzok posunúť projekt do jeho ďalšej fázy. Štúdia v najbližších mesiacoch prinesie kľúčové poznatky o technických aspektoch projektu.

Tešíme sa na pokračovanie spolupráce pri budovaní stabilnej, bezpečnej a modernej energetickej budúcnosti.
