Screening for #CervicalCancer is offered by GPs, but in the future, people could take their own samples at home. Research has shown that self-sampling has a lower carbon footprint than in-person sampling.

Cervical screening is an important test to help prevent cancer. It should be easily accessible for everyone who needs it, and so we welcome the results of the You Screen trial which found that HPV self-sampling could help more women and people with a cervix to access screening.

I’m in awe of @DrKC_Njoku - his research (supervised by @ProfEmmaCrosbie) to identify a point of care test for endometrial cancer is of the up most importance and he is the person to do it. As always KC spent a good hour saying how he’d screwed up his presentation. Obv’ he won.
