🔘 Chris Paul is everything that’s wrong with this world and I’m terrified he’s this close to going to the finals the one time I’ll ever cheer for the warriors and they’re letting me down don’t do this to me plz
All this Mormons v "Christians" stuff has me cracking up. You're saying the devil has inspired a whole "cult" of people to live decent, kind, generous, Christ like lives, they even worship Christ, but the grand deception is in the fine print?
Lol.
In the past 20 years, just 19 Power 4/Power 5 QBs had 3,000 pass yards, 500 rush yards, 25 TDs and 10 or fewer turnovers in a season. Four won the Heisman. Three were runners-up and six became first-round draft picks. Another is Bear Bachmeier, who did it as a true freshman.
This is what our society fails to comprehend.
If I work as a physical therapist, and I’m good, I’ll make $100,000/yr. And pay $15,000 in taxes. I can see 60 patients per week. But that’s the end of it. No additional tax money, no more patients can get my services. I provide a living for myself and my family.
If I own a practice and employee 10 therapists that each make $100,000, now I’m providing a living for 10 families, and because of my efforts there is now $250,000 in tax revenue.
So why should businesses get taxed more? Why should they even have to pay payroll taxes? My value to society is way more than 10X at this point.
But the vast majority of Americans can’t comprehend that, neither do our congressional representatives.
Drive down I-15 through Silicon Slopes at 5:30 PM. Look at the glass boxes baking in the smog. Look at the thousands of identical crossovers idling in bumper-to-bumper traffic, filled with people who moved here from California because the taxes were lower and they liked the aesthetic of mountains. They don't know what it means to sweat on a mountain. They just want a backdrop for their lifestyle brand.
Utah swapped its birthright for a tech boom and a real estate bubble.
Every square inch of the valley is being paved over with cheap five-over-one apartments and master-planned communities with names like "The Orchard" built directly on top of the actual orchards they bulldozed to make room for them.
The modern Utahn’s highest aspiration isn't to build a kingdom; it’s to land a mid-level project management role at a SaaS company, buy a house with a 30-year mortgage, and spend weekends drinking 60-ounce dirty sodas from a drive-thru while their kids play competitive soccer.
It’s a giant, lukewarm simulation of success.
The Great Salt Lake is drying up, exposing a bed of toxic arsenic dust that blows across the golf courses and manicured lawns. It’s the perfect metaphor. The literal foundation of the valley is turning to poison.
In July, the Church will open 55 new missions to accommodate a growing number of missionaries already called. The addition will bring the total number of missions to 506 and allow missionaries to better support the growing number of congregations worldwide.
“What we are witnessing today is more than growth in numbers,” Elder Dale G. Renlund (@DaleGRenlund) of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said in a May 2026 social post. “Across the world, missionaries are demonstrating a deep devotion to the Savior and a sincere consecration to His work. An increasing number express that their fundamental reason for serving is their love for Jesus Christ and their desire to join Him in His work — an inspiring reflection of the faith and commitment that characterize today’s missionary force.
“As the work goes forward, this is indeed a joyous and marvelous work and a wonder.”

Funny how they never attack my policy ideas. They can only try to assassinate your character. They don’t wanna talk about my debate masterclass a week ago, they wanna talk about a reality show from a lifetime ago. That’s because they want the continued decline of the city. They are locked in an ideological death spiral and can’t shake it. Come at my policies or go sit back down on the back bench. I’m in the arena, son.
I'm a 55 year old, highly educated, practicing attorney. I've read the Book of Mormon more times than I can count. I've spent thousands of hours studying the Old and New Testaments, as well as LDS Church doctrine and history. I've read the revelation, writings, and papers of Joseph Smith and many books written about him, by members and non members alike. I've read or heard virtually every piece of anti Mormon material imaginable. I've attended thousands of hours of church services, sunday school classes, seminary programs, college level religion courses, and devoted two years exclusively to study and preaching as an ordained minister. I've literally devoted much of my life to the pursuit of gospel knowledge. Most importantly, I've received divine confirmation from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith is a prophet and that the Book of Mormon is true. But yeah, with all due respect random anonymous Twitter guy, forgive me if I don't take your word for it that my religion is false.

This was my first General Conference since I realised 'Mormons' aren't 'a polygamous version of the Amish.' 😂
Late last year I casually wondered, 'What do the Mormons actually believe?' Months later, I'm reading the Book of Mormon daily and felt compelled to watch the General Conference.
Here's my biggest takeaway: If the people attacking the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints spent just two hours watching one session, I think their views would shift. How can you sit through that spirit, that sincerity, and still see these people as 'lost' or 'evil'? It's mind-boggling.
I'm also really grateful for all the LDS friends on X who, knowingly or not, helped me learn and understand more along the way.
Whatever path this takes, whether I eventually join or say, 'Fascinating, I respect it deeply, but I'll stay with my Dutch Reformed church', I'm profoundly grateful.
The Lord used simple curiosity to change my relationship with Him, how I see the world, and how I face adversity.
Greetings on Easter. This sacred day celebrates hope and renewal. May it bring peace, joy and brightness to everyone’s lives. May the teachings of Jesus Christ inspire all to be kind and strengthen the spirit of togetherness in society.
