Calling all my short fiction lovers. I touch on the trials & tribulations of the young man, familial dynamics & struggles, death, love, romance, & a true story about Johnny Cash’s hometown to boot.
I would be eternally grateful for readers & feedback.

"To think of money was to think as the world wanted you to think; then you'd never be your own master. When people said they wouldn't do something for love or money, they meant that love and money were opposite passions and one the enemy of the other."
"Money surrounds you in life as the earth does in death. Superimposition is the universal law. Who is free? No one is free. Who has no burdens? Everyone is under pressure. The very rocks, the waters of the earth, beasts, men, children - everyone has some weight to carry."
The problem with being an author is that there are only two emotional options when you re-read your own work:
- this is going to be a New York Times bestseller
- I need to burn this in a very hot fire
We went to Barnes and Noble and I talked to them about carrying my book in the local author section.
They agreed to order some copies and now I can officially say my book is in (a) Barnes and Noble!
It's only one store but it still feels like a huge deal to me!
A small accomplishment, but in the midst of my current break from writing, it means everything to me.
My story "All of the Broken" was a shortlisted finalist for the @Vocal_Creators Fiction Awards. You can check it out at the link below.
