i honestly think that crying over a book is one of the most prominent signs of compassion for humanity. you’re crying over someone who isn't really there and doesn't really exist, but you still feel for them as if you have known them your entire life.
Songs in the '70s used to be like 7 minutes. Half the song was just instruments. Vocalists saying nothing and letting the instruments speak. Bring that back please
People on here sometimes say bringing up Dworkin's Zionism is unfair to her work, but it was Dworkin herself who tied these positions together. Her view of womanhood is, quite literally, Israeli in its spirit.
She always lets Israeli women off the hook as simply being subservient to and victims of Israeli men--(I have no doubt that Israeli women are subjugated by Israeli men, but they too partake in the slaughter and subjugation of Palestinians)--she never discusses e.g. Golda Meir.
The loose descriptions you sometimes see of Dworkin on here as a Zionist really do not prepare you for just how much she hates the Palestinian liberation movement.
