One big lesson. That felt like a real punch in the gut for me this year, but ultimately has been the reason why I'm on a trajectory towards my ultimate self: is the idea that in order to actually have good ideas, create real motion and achieve monumental goals, you have to actually LOCK IN. Like really commit, show up for yourself everyday, do the habits you know you should do. Don't cheat on things like your diet or sleep. Avoid missing good habits 2 days in a row; One missed day is a small slip up, two is the beginning of a new habit forming.
One thing that's become crystal clear for me this year stepping away from everything. Is.. "Ego will either make you or break you" If you never start because your ego is too precious and you can't live with the idea of falling short of expectations then your ego is nothing but a burden. If however your ego channels you to push to extreme limits and reach your highest potential in that endeavour then perhaps that's a good thing.
Deep. Such an interesting perspective shift. Creating a life devoid of meaning outside of hedonistic tendencies is causing us to fall into addictions like porn, scrolling, gambling etc. This is why it's essential to live a life of meaning and purpose setting goals that excite you and living a life truly aligned with who you want to be
Twitter is so eye opening. Because everywhere I look I see ideas and realizations I too came to, it's just some people are much more effective at articulating them than others.
A lot of people misinterpreting this. Peaks and troughs build unstoppable momentum in a way a flat life could never come close to replicating. Every challenge, every setback (if you have the right mindset makes you come back stronger) repeated over a long enough time, the difference can't be overstated
Like it or not, everything you consume shapes you in some way.
Your attitude, mindset, perspective, thoughts, thought patterns, outlook and optimism can all be altered by what you consume.
Consuming low quality content can lead to low quality actions and life patterns leading to a poor quality life
Consuming high quality content leads to high quality thoughts which can lead to high quality actions and with that a high quality life.
Be cautious and intentional with what you choose to feed your brain. It could be ruining you life
