This MLK Day, we call on the governor to rescind his hastily written executive order silencing conversations about diversity, equity & inclusion.
The order fosters hostility against marginalized people and is so broad it could restrict classroom discussion about King’s work.
BREAKING: We’re suing to stop a $5 million grant in water development funds to a “radically Catholic” Ohio school.
The state Constitution is clear: Our tax dollars cannot be used to support a specific church or ministry.
We’ll see the WV Water Development Authority in court.
Mingo Co. can't pump water to homes because it's snowing. Once it's back, it won't be safe to drink unless boiled.
Just one example of the deplorable state of our infrastructure.
But officials sent $5 million in water development funds to a right-wing Catholic school in Ohio.
Tens of thousands of West Virginians lack clean drinking water. Funneling $5 million in water development funds to a partisan, out-of-state religious organization is wholly inappropriate.
We are monitoring and prepared to intervene if necessary.

During his first term, Trump oversaw more executions than any president in 120 years. Biden, who pledged to call for abolition of the death penalty in 2020, must act now to commute all federal death sentences.
The death penalty isn't justice. It's a racist relic.
Charleston’s Ordinance and Rules Committee will discuss a new bill to criminalize panhandling at its 5:45 meeting tonight. Similar bills have failed to pass in recent years.
We don’t know what there is to discuss. These bills are not only cruel, they’re also unconstitutional.
BREAKING: Morgantown Coalition for Housing Action has successfully submitted enough signatures to challenge the city’s “camping ban.”
This cruel and impractical ban can’t be enforced until the people of Morgantown vote on it.
This is what democracy looks like.
Breaking: We’ve just filed a lawsuit asking a court rectify the situation in Mingo County, where nearly 700 voters were given ballots with the wrong Democratic candidate for state Senate.
Voters deserve a fair election.
Remember - if you run into any problems at the polls or have any questions about the voting process, you can call our Election Protection Hotline: 304-712-4640.
Voting is not a privilege — it is a right.
We carry on the legacy of those who fought for this right by showing up to the polls and voting for the change we want to see.
This is not Donald Trump's America.
It's not Kamala Harris’ America.
It's not ANY politician's America.
It's ours, and we the people are worth fighting for.
For my latest story, I chose a municipal race in WV and tracked how well candidates followed finance laws.
The result? At least two Huntington council candidates shouldn’t be on the ballot over their finance violations (but will be anyway).

Amendment One will protect the citizens of West Virginia from these population planners and the assisted suicide they promote. It will define suicide as a problem and stop them from prescribing it as a solution. But there are people who would make Gates’ and Soros’ “Brave New World” the future of our Mountain State. @RustyWilliamsWV of the ACLU, a guy with a nose ring, complained that Amendment One will “take away a future right.” Just imagine the arguments we could make with rhetoric as weak and stupid as Rusty’s: Speed limits take away our “future right” to drive 90 mph through school zones! Drug laws take away our “future right” to fentanyl!
