The UAW is proud to endorse @AbdulElSayed for U.S. Senate.
UAW members in Michigan want a fighter in Washington, D.C. who isn’t afraid to push forward a strong working-class agenda with moral clarity. Having never taken a dime from corporate PACs, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is someone we can trust to have our backs, including when we need it most – like come May Day 2028. From Medicare for All to banning stock buybacks, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is ready, eager, and well-equipped to move our core issues in the U.S. Senate.
Yesterday the House voted down @RashidaTlaib’s War Powers Resolution to end U.S. participation in Israel’s ongoing invasion of Lebanon. Dan Goldman voted against it. He has voted for every standalone U.S. military aid package to Israel to destroy Gaza. Apparently, he’s comfortable with what’s going on in Lebanon as well.
I would have joined the Congressional Progressive Caucus in supporting the resolution. Trump & Netanyahu launched this war together, and the U.S. is directly complicit in the immense suffering & displacement endured by the Lebanese people. It must end now.
This is a simple question. Do we do more for Israel now or less? I introduced an amendment to strike 224 because I am for the American people calling the shots, not Netanyahu. I am for Team America.
Yesterday, Rep. Stutzman introduced a resolution supporting enhanced defense cooperation with Israel. Not only did he openly credit Netanyahu as its architect, but dangerously linked supporting it to the fight against antisemitism.
Integrating our military with a foreign country's military has nothing to do with antisemitism. Disingenuously conflating legitimate debate about U.S. foreign policy and national security with any form of discrimination or prejudice risks limiting free expression over critical issues and does nothing to protect vulnerable communities.

The United States of America is a sovereign nation.
Section 224 of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act must be removed.
Our military should not be integrated in any capacity with a foreign country’s military.
Nor should we be funding it.
The tide is turning. Americans don’t want this disastrous, unauthorized war and Congress is finally listening.
The senate should act now — ending this war is a moral imperative.
The Iran War Powers Resolution that I cosponsored (opposing the war) just passed the House of Representatives.
The People’s House is sending a message: end this war.
Finally, after months of Democrats offering this measure, the House just passed an official War Powers Resolution to end Trump’s chaotic, illegal war in Iran that has already claimed the lives of American service members and innocent civilians.
It is Congress’ power, not the president’s, to declare war. Both the House and the Senate stand united now.
President Trump, end this war now.
Thomas Massie and I are not done working together. Section 224 of our defense bill means to integrate our military with Israel's military.
As a senior member of the Armed Services committee, I am introducing an amendment to stop financing and enabling war crimes.
Yesterday, the IDF seized 4 students from their homes in the West Bank, including 20-year-old American, Sama Safi.
The Israeli govt didn’t tell her family or the U.S. Embassy where or why she was being taken & is holding her without charges.
America must secure her release NOW.
At a time when Americans are increasingly questioning unconditional support to Israel, Congress should not be giving a foreign government greater access to U.S. military technology or a larger role in shaping U.S. national security. The House Armed Services Committee must say NO to Section 224.
Tomorrow, the House Armed Services Committee is set to vote on the NDAA — including section 224, a provision that would expand Israel's access to U.S. military technology and integrate Israeli systems more deeply into American weapons programs. Supporters claim this is in America's interest. But make no mistake: This is Netanyahu's plan and would only further entangle U.S. defense policy with Israel's priorities.

And we don't have to guess where this idea came from.
Today, Rep. Marlin Stutzman — who met with Netanyahu just last week — introduced a resolution explicitly crediting Netanyahu as the architect of this plan. He even published a thank you letter from Netanyahu.

The stakes are too high to stay in the dark on Israel’s nuclear capabilities.
Today, I asked Secretary Rubio if Israel has a nuclear program. He said "most of the world assesses that they do" and committed to providing more information.
New Jersey made the right call. Congratulations to Dr. Adam Hamawy on winning the Democratic Primary!
A 9/11 first responder, combat surgeon, and volunteer physician in Gaza, Dr. Hamawy is exactly the human rights champion Congress needs. ACMER is proud to stand with him.
New Jersey had a big night for progressive champions! 🎉 My Medicare For All PAC invested big in Adam & Analilia, and now we are one step closer to health care for all.
A decorated Army veteran and trauma surgeon who has spent his career fighting for people's lives — now taking that fight to Congress. Congrats to @HamawyforNJ on winning NJ-12!
Analilia Mejia is a lifelong organizer who has never stopped fighting for working families, immigrants, and communities that have been left behind. NJ-11 chose to reelect a leader who answers to the people — not corporate donors. Congrats to @AnalilaforNJ on winning the Democratic nomination in NJ-11!
So proud to have been in both of your corners. Let's go!!
Stick a fork in it.
Dr. Adam Hamawy — a combat trauma surgeon and veteran who volunteered in Gaza and the West Bank, who saved Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth’s life — will be the next Congressman from NJ-12.
He was backed by Bernie Sanders, AOC, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Justice Democrats, Our Revolution & many other lawmakers/groups on the left.
Congrats to @HamawyForNJ on tonight's #NJ12 win!
Voters just sent a powerful message that it's time for bold new leaders ready to take on billionaires and fight for working families.
In Congress, I'll be proud to work side-by-side with Dr. Hamawy to deliver the change we need.
