Lord God, who bestowed on the Bishop Saint Richard
of Chichester
a love of learning, a zeal for souls and a devotion to the poor,
in your kindness grant to us, we pray,
the assistance of his intercession
that we may be led to deeper knowledge
and love of your Only Begotten Son
so that we may follow him more closely.
Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.

Today is #RedWednesday, a day we especially remember victims of religious persecution.
In many parts of the world, my ordination to the #Catholic priesthood would be met with the death penalty. Praying for all my Christian brothers and sisters who suffer for believing in #Jesus
