ACP Minnesota and Libertarian Party of Minnesota hold joint rally to call for the imprisonment of the Epstein class and the end of the American regime's war on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
@LPofMN x @ACP_Minnesota
The crimes of the Epstein class have so far gone unpunished, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be defeated. The American Communist Party calls for a popular front to end the occupation of our country, and to establish justice and popular sovereignty!
ACP MN recently partnered with Foxtail Farms to prepare butternut squash soup for dozens of families in need.
We will continue to serve our people and community organizations as they navigate increasing uncertainty.
Join today and help us bring the power of food production back to working people and to strengthen our food networks.
Over the weekend, ACP Minnesota hosted a winter clothing event in Powderhorn park, South Minneapolis, offering coats, sweaters, mittens, hats and more.
Much of it got taken, the remainder given away to Holy Rosary Church in conjunction with Loaves and Fishes alongside Peace House, where warm meals are offered to those in need.
Everyday it becomes more clear: as the institutions and support systems required for a functioning society fail, and as those in power abandon the very citizens and principles that enable their existence, working people must look out for eachother themselves.
This last week ACP MN attended a gun safety class in which we learned about the different risks and challenges associated with gun ownership as well as the rights associated with such.
Afterwards we spent some time at the firing range.
Gun safety remains a local issue, and the simple awareness of laws is the first step in understanding ownership.
This Tuesday ACP MN came out in support of teamsters 320 in their efforts to support students and workers at University of Minnesota. Numerous protesters were arrested by police for speaking out against the cuts and proposed deals.
It is no crime to demand ones rights as students and workers and the criminalization of dissidents with legitimate criticisms point not to strength but instead weakness.
Students and workers deserve a better deal and the proposed budget cuts being pushed upon them do not reflect the needs of college life.
This last week ACP MN tabled at open streets in Minneapolis.
During our time we spoke with locals and discussed our platform, raising the common peoples awareness of our cause.
Our program and our layout quickly drew attention. We engaged in conversation with many people and collected numerous signatures of those interested in joining our party.
In time our program, our banner, and our cause will once again raise itself in the common consciousness of this land and haunt the minds of the class enemy.
This last week, ACP MN led a trash pick up in the Seward area in Minneapolis.
Amongst the debris were needles, drugs, and trash. Such an environment of despair and neglect is not fitting for what should be a place for dreamers, workers, and people in our city.
The locals passing by thanked us for our work.
Since the reconstitution of the American Communist Party one year ago, the Minnesota chapter has been on the ground doing weekly work with organizations in Minneapolis to support the needs of locals.
We showed up, rain or shine, and those small efforts have procured well over 8,000 orders and meals for working families.
During this time, our membership has continued to increase, our regular initiatives have been established and we have laid out the basic organizational techniques and practices required to continue to advance our educational, practical and media-based work.
That the American people are tired of the talk and deliberation upon our rights and the rights of others to subsist and live a decent life is a truth that is now self evident.
It is with this in mind that we plan this next year to be even greater than our first.
This last week ACP MN spent several hours helping an older couple revitalize their yard by cutting down old trees and pulling out unwanted vegetation.
The couple was very pleased with the final result.
This Tuesday ACP MN came out to show support to the nurses strike in Duluth, MN.
During our picket we had several conversations with nurses. Its not just the pay and the uncertainty; training is not preparing new nurses for the field or creating the conditions for retention.
Nurses do the painstaking work of caring for their patients when others don't, often taking care of 10 or more people at a time. Such frequent overextension in a field where care is often a question of life or death is not a sustainable strategy.
Despite numerous offers presented by the Minnesota Nurses Association, a settlement is yet to be reached and the appeals for structural change remain unanswered.
ACP MN connected with neighbors and other tenants across prospect Park and had a great launch party with board games, outdoor activities, and good food, building closer ties with families in the area.
To no surprise, many people are interested in building greater community and a local tenant union. North Minneapolis has the highest rates of low income, densely populated housing of working people in Minnesota.
The landlords are organized, and their priorities are clear; rentier income is to grow even at the increasing inability of local people to sustain themselves.
It's time the people of Minneapolis organize themselves.
