Class 5-1A state swim is well underway today and the first state champion has been crowned. Lansing's Piper Kobs, Katelyn Johannes, Mary Archambault and Avila Verzola won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:48.73.

Good lord Zach Mendez! Already the 500 freestyle 5-1A record holder, Mendez just broke his record from a year ago by almost 9 seconds! A 4:23.97! That's insane!
Oh yeah, the Lansing senior also broke the 200 freestyle record earlier in the day. Wow. Just Wow!
