With the #WiDAwards2019 soon upon us, we look back at our Shortlisting Conference. We loved the passion that our shortlisted nominees gave singing Roar by
@katyperry - and what a fantastic sound they made!

@JscscRaf Brief to IOD-1 on Airmen’s Development. The RAF is in great hands, what an engaging and enthusiastic bunch of JO’s. Lots of questions and genuine interest in what we do at ACS and why. Discussions on joint PME and Talent Management.
@JscscRaf recently spoken to a few personnel who fear coming on promotion courses. Are we getting something wrong? Should PME be about development rather than assessment? Is there a fear of failure and if so where does this come from?
It might be Bank Holidsy for most but on ACS leadership and management training continues. Over 100 personnel in the building today learning and developing themselves. #bethebestversionofyourself
“In the British military, success and promotion is gained by obedience and the absence of failure over being new or original.” Do you agree? https://t.co/kBiaMjqFvo
Such fantastic opportunities for shared experiences. The only person to limit opportunities is I self. There are times to challenge appropriately and seek new ways of working.
Started the day with a visit to the 1st Sgts Course. Would this be an opportunity for the RAF to manage our talented SNCOs. Lessen the burden on the SWO and WO PMS., whilst developing our talented SNCOs.
John Adair - Functional Approach to Leadership. Task focussed? Are we too task focussed, is this the reason for mental health challenges? Who says no? At what level does this start? How do we “do nothing” better?
When considering the RAF leadership attributes, how important is Warfighter? We discuss and research many aspects of leadership during our courses at ACS, but often skip over warfighter. HMLC 30 will be considering this attribute tomorrow
Enjoyable time spent @JscscRaf discussing Airmen’s development and the need and desire to build fantastic relationships between Junior Officers and our SNCOs. Recognise each other’s skill sets for the greater good. Thank you for engaging IOD-3.
