Check out these mesmerising eyes 👀
This tawny frogmouths name is Freeloader. He took up residence in carer Sara’s aviary – nothing wrong with him. Freeloader! The door’s open and you can leave whenever you like, pal...
Meet beautiful Sayza 👋
Rescuer Kate explains: ‘Sayza was found entwined in barbed wire. It was a cold and tough rescue, with rain, wind and tools limited to a pair of scissors! Once rescued, I took her to Kippax vets who did a wonderful job.’
Sayza is now with carer Corin 💚
Happy Feathered Friday! Meet carer Sara’s mama #swan and her #cygnet. Mama had a fish hook through her foot and needs to heal. We can all help spread the word – people who fish, clean up your gear!
Happy #possum Tuesday! 🎉
This is carer Corin and her cute little orphaned #brushtailpossum – who has found a surefire way to get Corin’s attention!

Happy #WombatWednesday 🥳 Meet pinky Evie! She has no fur and lives in a hotbox heated to 32 degrees to simulate being in mum's pouch. Behind her is Sherman, furring up nicely, around 2.5 kilos. He has more body-heat regulation skills. Both are cared for by Cheryle and Jeff 🥰
Breaking news: carer grows third arm!
Just kidding! Here’s carer Sara doing her best with two 🤭 In this video, Sara is holding a sneezing baby #galah and Julie the #possum.
Happy #WombatWednesday! Today we're catching up with Sylvie and Tina. Sylvie is getting a bit territorial here, but check the classic wombat behaviour of stopping for a little think between manoeuvers 💭
It's #possum time! Check out this #brushtail sneaking quietly along the balcony. Did you know? A female possum is called a 'jill', a male possum is called a 'jack', and a young possum is called a 'joey' 🐾
Oooh big stretttchhhh!
This certified long boi is Dozer the bare-nosed wombat, who was released by @ACT_Wildlife last June.
With trail and WiFi cams looking at his release site, they still occasionally see him wandering about, looking healthy.
#WombatWednesday ❤
