@FabrizioART I uphold that The Princess Bride movie is not only an amazing adaptation but that the movie and book support each other as a collective piece of art.

@FabrizioART It's such a case-by-case thing, though. I've seen adaptations that make changes and it works and then sometimes it doesn't. I've seen loyal adaptations that still weren't great. At the end of the day I think it's a matter of production quality and a substantial original work.

@FabrizioART I guess I just mean the source should have enough meat to fill out the adaptation. I don't know that we need to make feature length films out of Dr. Seuss books. At the same time, the old animated TV specials were fine, I thought.

@FabrizioART Like I've seen minor changes that made sense but didn't really alter anything in stuff like Nic Sparks movies. The Watchmen movie did some plot streamlining that made a lot of sense but I still didn't like the movie as much as the book, despite how loyal it was to the source.
