@helscom I'll further qualify that this type of thinking doesn't immediately qualify someone as "good at metaphors and analogies", but it does make them more likely to *think in terms of* metaphors and analogies, which helps a ton on their own ability to intuit the concept map passively.
@helscom (Bonus: this explanation was itself a form of relational thinking, albeit with a general case as opposed to a specific case. Essentially, [insert topic here] is like comparing fruits in that there are vectors of change between individual prototypes.)
Basic thing that they don't always teach you in school: you can't put out oil fires with water, and pouring water on an oil fire will usually make it much worse. Keep a fire extinguisher in your kitchen, preferably decently far from the stove.
