Global Athlete has released an interim policy proposal outlining immediate, practical solutions for athlete compensation—starting with a USD $25,000 Games Participation Indemnity for every Olympic athlete.
Our proposal addresses the immediate measures the IOC could adopt to provide meaningful financial support to athletes without creating a traditional employer-employee relationship, namely:
1️⃣ Olympic Participation Indemnities
2️⃣ Full Liberalization of Rule 40 and Athlete NIL Rights
3️⃣ Olympic Athlete Revenue Sharing Fund

FORUM: Have chance of an Olympic athlete boycott grown? Yes. Would it be easy? No. Would it work? Yes. Why? The perfect storm is building. The question is whether Olympic sports bosses see athletes for what they are: the hand that feeds that must be fed

The @IOCmedia is:
• Trying to regain control of anti-doping with their proxy @IntTestAgency – not independent – they are a service provider
• Severely restricting the right to peaceful freedom expression- @heraskevych
• Restricting athlete NIL opportunities through rule 40 2/2
Analysis: Kirsty Coventry doesn't believe athletes should be paid. Then again, she presides over a business that paid directors $55m ( $30m + for top 10) in the last Olympic cycle. That's > any single Intl sports federation got from Olympic revenue share

World Cricketers’ Association Chief Executive Tom Moffat has weighed in on the controversy surrounding reported PKR 5 million fines imposed on Pakistan players after their elimination from the T20 World Cup 2026.
Moffat warned that punitive measures for performance could undermine contractual certainty and player welfare, adding that the global players’ body would not support unilateral sanctions that fall outside the terms of agreed player contracts.
