A lot of replies saying that because the top-level women aren’t as fast as the top-level men, it’s uninteresting, which leads me to my next point.

Caitlin Clark will never dunk like LeBron James, but look at what she’s been able to do for the game of basketball. Serena Williams’s serve is not as powerful as Rafael Nadal’s, and look what she did for tennis. Women have a different operating system and, in general, a different skill set, but greatness is still greatness within the parameters of that operating system. The mistake we make is devaluing women by comparing them to men. I believe society is beginning to change its perspective, hence the popularity and media coverage surge.

I’m going to take some shit for this, but it’s something I believe in strongly, so have at it!
