The fact that folks are on here trying to drag India Arie for her take on Spend Dat is just so unserious

New data shows most Black adults never display the American flag, while white, Hispanic, and older Republicans are more likely to fly it proudly. https://t.co/sGNpFY5krM

@gratefultan@backseetBETTY You all have to be next level stupid. She has equally given her opinion on alot of things within our community, men and women. You all are the ones jumping to such a stupid ass conclusion. Bird brains
I think the criticism of “Spend Dat” is actually fair and even if the artist was male, the message would be the same and that’s the problem. Yes it is highly possible to enjoy the song while also acknowledging Ms. Arie’s point.
Pooh Shiesty is facing life in prison when all he had to do was hire a lawyer and renegotiate his contract. Ain’t nun gangsta about what he did. Crash dummy.
People dont even realize the discourse that is being created to negatively attack India Ari for expressing how music can in fact harm. Alot of the pages and media outlets that look "black" that are criticizing her are not being operated by black ppl.
