@Scientits I think people have little or no concept of how much even relatively basic medical care costs. A catastrophic incident is pretty unlikely but ending up owing thousands for fairly innocuous accident/illness just doesn't occur to a lot of people I suspect

@DrCharlesL If we want routine appt, have to ring at 2pm on weds. Last time I tried,spent 2hrs on phone, offered phone consult 3wks later. On the day, I waited 6hrs, finally got the call when I was in loo, they gave it two rings &hung up. No way to call bk. Ring bk next weds & start again.

@teaforpterosaur Maybe it's just me but I find most fish and chips is of an adequate standard. Occasionally a better one, Occasionally worse. But wherever you go it's likely you'll have one that's... fine.

@DuncanStott I've got a retrospective application which has been running for 8 months. Mainly arguing about whether a gazebo is an 'open structure'. And they've just decided they need arboricultural reports and engineering analysis for the installation of 300mm of gravel. No end in sight.
