@JohnnyReb911@nap_or_wonder But he didn’t really just inherit it. He lobbied hard for it and wanted Driscoll’s position before he was even out the door. He was convinced raising money was the same thing as leadership and found out quick that being an AD is more than just ordering 1/4 zips for his admirers.
@NILnotNLI It’s NFL money. FF is to keep women out of contact football. It’s why the NCAA has had Women’s Rugby on its Emerging Sports list since 2002 and refuses to give it even 1% of the pub FF gets. It’s the newest way for schools to stuff rosters by paying for flags and call it equity.
Leadership is a lonely position. You can’t be concerned about being liked, what others think, or losing a player. As a head coach, caring and communicating come first. Being transparent fosters respect and trust with everyone. Good context and message from Jon Scheyer.
@AshTru9@HuskerSoftball@NFCAorg I have a rule, out of respect for our coaches, to avoid giving pub or extra attention to old links that contain false or sensationalized information. Feel free to google. TY
Is now a good time to remind the softball world that there was a witch hunt for @HuskerSoftball Coach Revelle a few years ago as she now coaches through super regionals? Here’s to all the coaches who deserved but never got the 2nd chance. @NFCAorg Congrats, Coach!
When parents harass college coaches using fake accounts…
If I were this coach, I’d be thrilled that kid and parent are leaving. Coward move hiding behind a burner.
This is exactly why college coaches talk to each other before taking transfers—they have each other’s backs for reasons like this.
To that parent: you might’ve just cost your kid their next opportunity. I don’t care how good they are— if I am a college coach, I’m not touching that situation.
This is also why coaches recruit parents just as much as players.
And you wonder why the GOOD ones are walking away from college coaching…
@CoachBERNbyond I say these things on a daily basis. I would hope more people would listen to it because it’s Geno as a male coach but he’s said things like this before and it hasn’t moved the ncaa dial. So much truth on your post.
It's on lurking amongst your teams and you may not even know it. What is self-soothing noise? Find out here ---> https://t.co/jAQiUlPy4J @PositiveCoachUS
@achristovichh On the surface, this looks promising (at least 20 D2 & D3 WFF programs have been added in just the past 100 days).
However, this great piece by @TFCoachCarlson reveals a different story:

@TheHoopHerald@NYPost_Brazille The number of coaches on here saying every coach should speak this way must not be current college coaches. Every coach in higher ed rn knows that only a very specific subset of coaches are permitted to provide filterless lessons free of administrative repercussions.
Really cool seeing all the schools egregiously out of T9 compliance throwing up graphics for #NGWSD! Once a year declaration on social is big. Congrats. @iChampionWomen
@UIC_Softball Called it. AD is the Former CEO of Utah jazz and commish of big sky. Not one minute spent in college coaching. These are precisely the shiny-hire ADs that pull the trigger based on optics.
