I found a hidden gem w/ solid mechanics & neat ideas only to find 11 Positive Reviews on Steam. Here's some factors:
❌No Discord Community
❌No Social Media
❌Very Few Trailer Videos
Good work gets word of mouth but you need more w/ how competitive game creation is.
Some Advice for New Indie Devs:
Not 👏marketing👏your 👏game 👏while 👏making 👏it👏gets👏 it 👏 ignored 👏when 👏it 👏launches!
Marketing is half the job of earning a following/community. You'll get feedback, have press interested, & have resources for the next game!

There’s probably a part of your audience that hasn’t seen or even know that you made that older video.

If you're casually making content USB mics do okay. Non USBs are preferable but they make for an easier barrier of entry to make content
