This case is CRAZY!

Egypt has imprisoned 6 young Christian men for 2 weeks & counting because they made a TikTok simply mimicking a scene from a popular Egyptian comedy movie.

Outrageous.

But it's also part of a pattern of censorship against Christians 👇 @ADFIntl @ADFLegal

The purpose of documents like this is create a rhetorical motte-and-bailey in order to tar and scapegoat a wide swathe of normal conservative Christians as "extreme" through insinuation while retreating to plausible deniability when called on it.

13-year-old Maria Shahbaz is still trapped in the custody of her 30-year-old abductor.

Every day she remains with him is another day she is subjected to further abuse and exploitation.

The court and authorities must act to ensure that Maria's case is properly reviewed and that she is returned safely to her family.

Censorship in Brazil is relentless.

A court already unanimously cleared Isadora of all charges, and ruled that stating personal opinions is not grounds for criminal charges of "transphobia".

Yet, Federal Prosecutors are still attempting to criminalise her free speech.

‼️ ARRESTED FOR A TIKTOK ‼️

Egypt has detained six young Christian men on charges of "exploiting" and "insulting" the Islamic religion.

The men posted a video with audio from a popular comedy film, which depicts a scene of prisoners who are unfamiliar with the Quranic prayers.

After the video amassed comments inciting violence against the men, local police arrested them.

We urge the authorities to release these six young Christians and drop any investigations against them immediately.

EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Home Office counter-terrorism documents link “nostalgia for traditionalism” and fears over immigration, liberalism and multiculturalism to “Christian extremism”.

Officials propose working with churches to promote “theological resilience” against the use of Christian teachings to justify hatred or violence.

I obtained dozens of pages from RICU’s report on “Christian extremism”. Among the findings:

• Images of happy families in wartime, peaceful countryside and classical statues are described as a “hook” towards an extremist worldview.
• Tommy Robinson’s rallies and a Christmas carol concert come under scrutiny, alongside Christian fitness groups.
• “Bob from Speakers’ Corner” features, despite RICU identifying no extremist content from him.

Yet the report acknowledges that the threat of violence from Christian extremists remains “low”.

Jeremiah Igunnubole, UK legal counsel for ADF, says the report “suggests an institutional anti-Christian bias has taken hold in the Home Office”.

🇧🇷 BREAKING: Brazil is attempting to reopen a case against Isadora Borges, a veterinary student who previously faced up to 10 YEARS in prison for 'transphobia'.

Her only "crime" was a social media post, stating what we all know to be true: Men cannot become women.

By seeking to reopen this case, Brazil is showing once again that it will go to great lengths to silence speech it doesn’t like.

If the court agrees to reopen the case, Isadora will once again face trial, with a potential 10-year prison sentence for nothing more than stating biological facts.

“This is tragically common in Egypt, where Christians face threats, discrimination, and ultimately imprisonment for speech that is only seen as problematic because they are not part of the majority religion.

These young men did nothing but share a lighthearted video with a voiceover from a popular and uncontroversial film, as many others on the platform have done. There is no reason to charge or imprison them." — Kelsey Zorzi, Senior Counsel and Vice President of International Advocacy at Alliance Defending Freedom

“It is terrifying to know that my case could reopen and that I may once again face time in prison, but it is important to me that I always speak the truth. Too many Brazilians have been criminalised or bullied into silence out of fear they will be punished for ‘transphobia’.

When we say men cannot become women, we are not spreading hate or targeting anyone; we are stating a biological fact. I hope the court will uphold its previous decision and that my case will go on to stand for our right to speak freely.”
