@MuftiPatel it's disappointing that you are creating a two tier educational experience that fails both those children subject to it and those that aren't. We don't need gimmicks to improve education - we need teachers.
Shame on you @LindsayHoyle_MP Tonight you abused your position to block a call for an immediate ceasefire. You put saving the politically bankrupt @Keir_Starmer above saving the lives of children in Gaza. The blood of innocent children is on your hands.

@requirespod I loved the new episode, particularly the focus on political education and the tasks from September.
On the Ed meet up at @Troublem8kers, we did have some points as actions copied below.
We also saw @educatorssayno as one of the key vehicles.for.building R&F.
"The NHS can't take anymore"
NO! Junior Doctors can't take any more
Nurses can't take any more
Paramedics can't take any more
We are the NHS and you are losing us due to pay & conditions
Fix it, negotiate

@Rubberbandits I like my weekly hot takes from the legend that is Blindboy. But this week's episode was just sublime. From Sínead O'Connor to millennial neoliberalism - excellent. So make sure you listen to it
After the vote to accept the government’s latest pay offer in schools, rs21 teachers and support staff analyse the strikes and their results, and lay out a plan for the months ahead. https://t.co/83sRtjRxq3
- 6.5% would never have been awarded without the 8 days of action by NEU members.
- We must go further though. 🏴 teachers deserve pay parity with 🏴
- We need pay restoration for all school staff (teachers, leaders, support staff)
- This isn't just about fairness. It is the only way to save our schools. The crisis of recruitment & retention is so severe.
- We need urgent action on workload. Education funding is too low. We should fund our schools to the OECD average of 5% of GDP.
- We have shown we can beat the government's anti-democratic strike thresholds.
- We have shown we can deliver solid and sustained strike action.
- In September serious discussions will take place about how we move the campaign for education forward.
- We will build unity and coordinate with other eduction unions as much as possible.
Educators Say No! statement on today's result. The strike ballot showed that there is a mood for more action. We need to build on the 14% to deliver the sort of action we need to win big.

A union leader has no right to say something so undermining and hopeless as this: “We are saying: ‘You can absolutely reject this, but that means committing to multiple days of strike action in the autumn term and the government still won’t budge.’”

@AidyRiggottBV Literally no-one cares about rich people's banks and right wing nutters. Sort yourself out. Commenting on this and opposing a motion in support of our public workers getting less of a pay cut. #ToriesOut
Gutted 🙁
An incredible effort from the girls in green who deserved at least a point in their opening match 💪
The country is proud of you 💚

He's laughing at you peasants, with your unfunded pay cut. It's nice to know that some of our apparently stretched public money will pay for this corrupt parasite. #NotMyKing
🚂 Not a wheel turns without the kind permission of the working class
20,000 @RMTunion members are taking action tomorrow.
