I can barely bring myself to write yet another article about the pointlessness of the Tory party. Today is just a marker post in history when the party decided it wanted to lose an election. A day when it capitulated to the media and the chattering classes having learned nothing whatsoever from the last decade of failures.

I don't want much from a government. I want immigration brought down to a manageable level. Given the scale of the problems, that means somewhere close to net zero for quite a long time. I want illegal immigrants deported. All of them. I want affordable and secure energy. That means ending the failed experiment with renewable energy.

Beyond that, I want the ailing BBC put out of its misery. I want tax cuts. I want at least half of Britain's universities to revert to technical colleges. I want police and civil service reform. I want to reverse devolution and restore localism. I want to see democratic reform and more direct democracy.

We're not going to get any of that from the Tory party. Consequently the economy will slide into the abyss, and the social fabric of the nation will be a threadbare rag. There is no reforming the Tory party. It's completely tone deaf. It is incapable of learning. The best it can manage is bland managerialism. It is a spent force. Out of ideas, out of talent.

Conservatives don't have a centre right party to vote for. We have a collection of dysfunctional and inept dissident parties that can't and won't unite. We can vote for them to punish the Tories, but that isn't leverage when the Tory party has a deathwish. It's like pointing a gun at a man standing on the edge of the bridge ready to throw himself off. The Tory party would rather lose than do anything that might enthuse its own members.

Since there's nothing we can do with our votes to get what we want, and the Tory party is hellbent on handing the game to the enemy, the most we can hope for is a hung parliament.

It's looking quite grim for the foreseeable future. If Labour scrapes a win, they'll be fighting like rats in a sack within six months. Starmer has successfully painted a new facade for the party, but it's the same rotten band of cranks, race grifters and degenerates. They'll oust Starmer at the first opportunity, putting the Tories back in the game, but the party will have concluded that the country is crying out for more "sensible centrism", also known as managed decline.

There's no reason to keep them in power, and no reason to put them back in power. Elections will be decided by the size of the apathy vote who stay at home. No party is capable of securing a positive mandate. This is a politics in a state of terminal paralysis. And it's not going to be fixed by voting.

Britain has shown an extraordinary resilience over the last five years, but I fear we're running out of capacity to absorb the incompetence and and stupidity of our rulers. A contact point with reality is coming. It probably starts with blackouts and riots. If we want our country back, we're going to have to fight for it.

In the west we have taken the higher meaning of the Bible, and largely discarded the dogma and outdated ideas.
