Trying to have adult time with Partner.
The Pocket Dragons theme tune running through my brain on repeat has other ideas.
Is this normal? Any tips on staying in the moment?

Is there a task completion method sport of thing where you start out at, say, the washing up. But then get distracted and go do something else, but then BACK to tie washing up and repeat? Like mindfully distracted?
Husband is back from a two day trip in 7 hours. The house is an absolute state, and I can’t move. I at least need to take the bins out and clean the bathroom
I’m still new to this and I don’t have the words yet. How do I explain that complete messy brained feeling when things aren’t tidy, enough that it’s affecting my mental health and executive function, but not so much that it’s stressed me into batshit city? #ADHD
constantly think about it all night - don’t sleep to continue learning - repeat. And it’s exhausting being interrupted. And I hate myself for not focussing on the kid instead. #actuallyADHD#askADHD
How do you deal with hyperfocus when it’s interrupted and then that’s it for ages, repeat? I’m new to understanding this and myself. I want to learn a language - kid is out all day - hyperfocus - collect kid and get distracted from it -
I don’t have a job and I don’t have a daytime routine other than transporting child to and from nursery three days a week. I’m not sure if routine might help but my ADHD brain is a mess and I don’t know what to do about it.
@KevinABWhite Thank you, that’s good to hear, though I’m sorry others have to feel the same. The ADHD community has been amazing. I think the diagnosis might actually help me keep a job because they’ll have to make reasonable adjustments
I got fired today. Third time out of five jobs (only one of which counts) for the same reason. I can’t focus, remember, sit still, plan, switch easily out of one task to another. Whether this is down to the bipolar or the potential #ADHD I don’t know.
I hate this limbo. But then what if I don’t have ADHD, what then? Then I’m just shit. And I have to deal with that. I don’t have an assessment date yet.
New year, new me… no, same bipolar brain damage, same maybeADHD. What can I even change myself. I’m just waiting and suffering and waiting. Is it so much to ask to even read a book? To stop getting stuck in social media? What’s even the difference? Why is it so hard?
