We've been so fortunate today to have Sally @sallycscape teaching each group a dance based on the Platinum Jubilee; using circles to compose duets around crowns, hats and orbs. We used unison, cannon and group movements in our dance to build up to our performances to each other.

Today Years F, 1 and 2 were full full of awe and wonder when we had a visit from Mark's Ark Animal Encounters. The theme of the visit was animal classification. The children learnt many fascinating facts and had the opportunity to hold and stroke the different animals.
Today we were delighted to be joined and put through our paces by the elite High Jump Champion Robert Mitchell who is part of @sports4champs programme that visits schools to inspire, motivate and celebrate well-being and life's journey. He certainly did that!
To start our #PlatinumJubileeCelebration this week the children came dressed in red, white and blue and we had a whole school finger buffet fit for a Queen! The rain didn't dampen our enjoyment but did change the location! Picnic in the grounds when the sun returns!

A huge thanks to @Woodlandtrust and @TheTreeCouncil who donated beautiful native tree species to our school. KS2 have been digging holes and carefully planting the saplings. We're hoping these will help to create greater biodiversity in the area which is otherwise largely grass.
What an amazing day Friday was celebrating 25 years of World Book Day. Every class took part in live digital author events, including with Michael Rosen and Catherine Rayner, as well as different activities within school. We love readingπ #WorldBookDay@ChildrensBkShow
