In observance of Memorial Day, next week’s CME/CBOT market hours are:
Sunday (5/24): No overnight/open trade
Monday (5/25): Closed for day session; market reopen at 7:00pm CST for overnight/open trade
A planting progress report from ADM Account Manager, Scott McLean:
"Southwestern Ontario has had a slower start to the planting season due to cool, wet weather, which has slowed the ability to plant into the clay soils. Corn planting is estimated to be 60% complete, and soybean planting is at 30% complete. Most of this planting has occurred within the past 7–10 days, so very few fields have emerged. Winter wheat is receiving flag leaf fungicide, and winter canola is dropping its flowers as it begins forming seed pods."

A planting progress report from ADM Account Manager, Ben Butcher:
"We are reporting planting progress in the state of Michigan at 37% for corn and 52% for soybeans. This is up significantly from last week, when we were at around 5% for both commodities. A break in the rain has allowed producers to make fast work of the planting from last weekend into this week. Temperatures are still cooler than we would like, with lows in the upper 30s and highs in the lower 50s, but we are expecting a significant warm-up this weekend to help accelerate corn plantings and germination."

Supporting farmers with evidence‑based tools and partnerships is key to regenerative success. We’re glad to work with Minnesota Soil Health Coalition (MSHC) as a Technical Assistance partner for our ADM re:generations program in Minnesota.
Mark Gutierrez, MSHC Executive Director says, "The partnership between ADM and MSHC delivers hands-on technical support and personalized mentorship. Through a network of more than 1,300 farmers across Minnesota, experienced growers work directly alongside their peers — sharing knowledge, troubleshooting challenges, and building confidence in soil health practices. The coalition's farmer-to-farmer mentorship model ensures that no producer navigates the transition alone, while a practical cost-share program helps reduce the financial barriers that can stand in the way of improving soil quality."
It is a farmer led and driven organization dedicated to provide education, farmer to farmer mentoring, networking and plain language technical information. To them, information is power—the faster real world information is made available, the quicker management decisions can be made in the field.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the women who keep farms running strong. 💐
Whether they’re balancing full‑time jobs or staying home, farm moms do it all — from accounting and paperwork to running machinery and stepping in wherever needed. Their hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it makes all the difference. We truly couldn’t do this without them. Happy Mother’s Day. 🌷
🚜 Supporting Farmers. Investing in Iowa. 🌽
ADM announced a multi‑million dollar investment to upgrade our Clinton, Iowa, corn processing facility.
What this means for farmers:

✅ Faster unloading & reduced wait times during harvest
✅ A smoother, more reliable delivery experience
“Farmers want a simple, efficient experience when they arrive—pull in, unload, and get back to the field,” said Peter Bortoli, Regional Operations Manager. “This project will allow us to receive corn faster, improve reliability, and offer a better experience for our farmers and our community.”
📅 Timeline
Receiving upgrades complete by late 2026

A planting progress report from ADM Account Manager, Lilly Pollasky:
"Planting is off to a good start in Minnesota and Wisconsin. We are currently moving at a strong pace due to dry weather conditions and limited weather delays. The main weather concerns are cooler overnight temperatures and a few early planting delays caused by rain and cooler temperatures earlier in the season. Western and southwestern Wisconsin corn is about 55–60% planted, and soybeans are around 50% planted. In southern Minnesota, corn is about 65% planted and soybeans are about 55–65% planted, with producers switching between corn and soybeans depending on field conditions. Southwestern Minnesota is around 80% planted for corn and 50% planted for soybeans, with farmers getting underway after a nice rain. If the rain continues to hold off and we get some heat, we should have excellent potential. Central to northern Minnesota is about 80% planted for corn and 65% planted for soybeans. If the weather holds, we should continue to make great progress!"
