ESPN sources: The Eagles are trading Pro-Bowl WR A.J. Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick that is the better of New England’s two fifths. The deal that has been speculated on for weeks now finally is happening. Brown and Patriots HC Mike Vrabel are reuniting.
@boom80517 Too many people have agendas when it comes to Campbell, just give me the best 5 whatever that may look like… and that shouldn’t be controversial.
@ADPatriots@BroadStBully5 He’ll be pouting by then and start his cryptic, passive-aggressive tendencies. He’ll fit right in with Diggs, I bet 😂. Sounds like a locker room dream.
As excited as I am to see AJ Brown in New England with Drake Maye throwing him the ball, I might be even more excited for the delusional low IQ slop takes coming out of Philly to stop.
The New England Patriots are scared to trade the Eagles a 2027 first round pick, because they know a regression could be coming in 2026, which would make the 2027 1st rounder a more valuable asset.
Their 2026 schedule is a lot tougher than the cupcake slate from last year, they won some fluky games with that weak schedule, the Mike Vrabel - Dianna Russini situation is lingering and Drake Maye is coming off a playoff run, where he really struggled.
I know everyone is ready to run him out of town for a late round pick but at his modest cap hit I’d rather keep him. I love adding AJ and Doubs but AJ’s knee is a legit concern and Doubs wears that Guardian Cap for a reason. Super Bowl winning teams typically have depth.
