You have no authority to tell anyone staying in your hotel not to bring in any food..

I saw this post in a hotel in Lagos - I told the manager it’s because my stay in Nigeria is short.. if not I will book a stay in your hotel and I’ll bring food to my room and nothing will happen.. You people in Nigeria cannot keep putting up criminality as laws..

For you to prevent anyone from bringing in food to their hotel room.. Your hotel must fulfill the following 2 impossible conditions..

1.) Have a restaurant that is open 24/7. Your restaurant cannot be closed at 8pm.. or 10pm.. it must be open round the clock..

2.) Your restaurant and Bar must serve every food and drink that exist in this world or must have the type of food each customer craves

.You can’t be selling rice and stew and be saying you cannot bring in any food or drink..

I believe the Nigeria Hospitality act covers this..

Some people may say - it’s his business - he can do whatever he wants.. if you don’t want it - go to a different hotel..

No that is not how life works.. you can’t open a business that is for the public that will infringe on the right to survive for a citizen..

The problem isn't PiggyVest or money market funds. The problem is comparing a business to an investment as if they're the same thing.

Selling cement is an active business. It comes with rent, salaries, theft, damaged stock, competition, slow sales, and the risk that your capital is tied up in inventory.

A money market fund is a low-risk investment. It's meant to preserve capital, provide liquidity, and earn steady returns not generate business-level profits.

There's nothing wrong with earning ₦300,000 a month from a well-run cement business. There's also nothing wrong with earning ₦75,000 monthly from a low-risk investment while you sleep.

Different tools serve different purposes. Smart people don't mock either they use each where it fits. In fact, many successful business owners keep their idle cash in money market funds while running their businesses. That's diversification, not laziness.

So,we had the first malaria case yesterday in my hospital in 30 years.Baba just returned from 9ja and had all the symptoms of malaria. They had to transport IV Artesunate from Liverpool with Liverpool with ambulance to us midnight. Apparently,no consultant knows how to treat malaria. They went to examine the patient all dressed like astronauts, like they were going to the moon even though they ruled out VHF from the blood tests. The three 9ja doctors on shift including myself became demigods yesterday. Na so we just dey move stuffs about malaria. Stuff wey no even correct. Them still dey clap for us😂. They kept saying the patient may have cardiac arrest. We told them to chill say malaria na our guy and we go run am. No nurse could constitute and administer IV Artesunate as they have never seen IV Artesunate antimalarial before. I gave Baba one shut stat. This morning, Baba say he wan go house and my consultant said it's the most miraculous recovery he has ever seen in his medical practice.
