Well firstly, the only spokespeople for the family and the witnesses are their attorneys.

That said, the tension came from a line in the book that Karen was influenced by John's drinking. That is categorically false and a fallacy Karen has tried to push. Karen was a heavy drinker all on her own and there was evidence of that presented at trial, like the text where Karen announced at 2 in the afternoon she was going to get a drink.

The sentence obviously upset those close to John as it could be taken as victim blaming and again, it's not representative of the truth. Maybe Dave didn't even realize the sentence was there or that it would be taken that way. I don't really know and I don't want to speak for anyone.

@DaveWedge made it clear that @TuesdayGazette and @MafiaMasshole should be grateful, and should thank him for making a guest appearance tonight. He also couldn’t stop talking about being a New York Times bestselling author, which simply means he had a book sell 5,000 copies in a given week.
That happens when there’s public interest in a case and you write a book that panders to both sides, not because the contents are worth the paper they’re written on.

What Dave displayed tonight was that he’s a pompous, arrogant bully who can’t recite any actual testimony or evidence from the case. If you want anything “granular” or fact-based, this definitely isn’t the book for you. But if you want to read a book full of the same old nonsensical FKR talking points, he’s got just the one for you.
