Four days ago, the Cockroach Janta Party appeared to be a genuine and discernible voice of the youth. In its “innocence” and spontaneity, it seemed like an organic reaction to the CJI’s choice of words for certain young people. The CJI was wrong.

But look at the CJP’s wall today. It no longer speaks about judicial high-handedness or the concerns of the youth. Almost every post now revolves around attacking the current government. As the pattern became clearer, the founder himself appeared to have political affiliations linked to the AAP ecosystem.

This is precisely where the distinction matters. A movement claiming to represent youth grievances cannot quietly morph into a politically aligned campaign while continuing to market itself as organic dissent.

We should stand with the youth. We should stand against judicial autocracy. But we should think twice before standing with those attempting to milk legitimate public sentiment for partisan political gain.
