On Sunday, July 7th, a @BBCWorld team came to my city and interrupted my Sunday routine. They came with a Muslim guide I know well — a man I have previously challenged over his biased reporting of the attacks in Plateau State. In front of me, they insulted my Pastor to my face.

To reduce the daily plight of defenseless Christians to mere “clashes” and “mutual conflicts” is not journalism. It is a reflection of who they have chosen to become, and of the script handed to them — in this case by the DCI group.

As I told them clearly during my own interview: From a distance in London, they can try to make the crisis look complex all they can. On the ground here in Plateau, it is not.

Christians are not being killed because they are farmers. They are not being killed over grazing land.

They are being targeted daily for one reason — for bearing the name of Jesus Christ.
