Welcome to our summer season #questpit Q&A!!! Question one:
If your main character was lost on a deserted island, what is the one item they’d bring?

Success is finishing, polishing, perfecting. Success is making my dreams come true, no matter how long it takes. And then I feel a little less like a failure, and more like an actual author. ♥️ #writingcommunity#authorlife#amquerying#queryingtrenches
Sometimes I feel like a massive failure. And then I remind myself that I wrote two whole-ass books in 3 years, and I realise that success doesn't have to mean a 6 figure book deal with a Big Five publisher. Success is setting a goal and sticking to it. (🧵1/2) #writingcommunity
Writer Problems
When you try your best to stick to the plot, but your characters aren't cooperating. 😂
Do you have this problem?

@RWoodsFiction It’s like a D&D campaign where the game master can’t keep the players on the plot because they decided they needed to help an NPC with their chickens…
If I Say I’m Fine (I’m Lying) is a standalone YA contemporary novel complete at 75,000 words.
It was inspired by my own father’s battle with ALS twenty years ago, with many scenes drawn directly from my own memories and experiences.

New author on X. My name is Aaron Creed, and I breed captivating tales of heroes on relentless crusades for action, or in other words, sip overpriced coffee while writing books in my sweatpants. My debut book, The Ballad of Gauge, comes out soon...
Stay tuned!
It's my new personal mission to make sure that every author out there knows what the work of @Cheesewoo looks like.
They deserve to be recognised instantly.
Current cuts are down to 159k from 167k. Will I reach 130k? Maybe, but not at the cost of the story’s integrity. I’m learning as I go, but the prospects of finding an agent and having a synopsis ready is far more scary than edits. #amwriting#fantasy#romantasy#writerslife
@book_favour Following editors who give tips on edits has helped me so much in this. I’m not afraid of rewriting, making edits, etc. I know the pacing and story have to be good if I’m over 130k which is my hope.
