As it stands, I've genuinely lost belief in anything Sky Sports reports now, especially when it comes to transfer news.

They came out so confidently saying José Mourinho wanted Vinícius Júnior to stay at Real Madrid, almost like the matter was settled. Then today, Pepe Álvarez, who has been far more reliable on Real Madrid matters, completely changed the picture.

According to him, Mourinho doesn't even consider Vinícius essential to his plans. Real Madrid aren't pushing him out, but they also won't shut the door if the right offer comes in. On top of that, the club isn't willing to hand him an €80m signing bonus or give away 80% of his image rights.

So what exactly happened to Sky's "exclusive"?

This is why I always say speed should never come before accuracy. It's better to be second and right than first and completely wrong. Transfer reporting has become a race for engagement instead of a race to get the facts straight.

For me, Sky Sports have lost a lot of credibility with this one. Verify your information properly before putting it out to millions of people.

As for English clubs, I'm sticking with David Ornstein. He has earned that trust over the years, and until someone proves to be just as consistent, that's where I'll be getting my information from.

On Matchday 33 of the 2025–26 Premier League season, Arsenal played against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Many managers would've walked away. Wenger stayed and carried the club through its most difficult financial era.

The trophies are part of his legacy. The fact Arsenal emerged from that period stronger, richer, and ready to compete again is the other part.

Without Wenger's sacrifices, there is no Arsenal of today.
