AEA advocates for affordable, abundant & reliable energy for American consumers and businesses. AEA is the activist organization affiliated w/ @IERenergy.
As @realDonaldTrump prepares to give tonight's State of the Union address, a growing body of work underscores the sustained focus he, alongside @HouseGOP & @SenateGOP, has had on prioritizing reliable, affordable American energy. This focus has resulted in 300 actions taken, thus far, to unleash America’s energy potential.
"We commend President Trump’s decision to issue an additional 90-day suspension of the century-old Jones Act, and we ask Congress to make the suspension permanent by repealing this outdated law. The Jones Act requires cargo shipped domestically to be carried on vessels that are U.S.-built, owned, and flagged and crewed by Americans. While originally intended to strengthen American maritime capabilities, it has become a costly, counterproductive barrier to efficient commerce. Its repeal is long overdue."
I'm glad to join this coalition letter by @AFPhq! @AmericanFreedom@taxreformer@AmerComm@AEA
Yesterday, @AEA led a coalition of 24 organizations in sending a letter to President Donald Trump and members of the United States Congress, urging a disciplined, evidence-based approach to rail regulation to ensure American energy security and economic competitiveness.
"Reliable, affordable American energy relies not only on what we produce, but on how effectively and efficiently we move it. Policies that increase the cost and complexity of moving our resources, like the proposed Rail Safety Act, will inevitably affect our supply chains." — @TomJPyle

“It is low-accountability politics dressed up as environmental justice, and Hawaii residents will pay the price,” argues Thomas J. Pyle @AEA
Opinion | For decades, experts warned of catastrophic warming, rising seas and resource collapse. In reality, we should be optimistic about our fossil fuel future, writes Robert L. Bradley Jr. https://t.co/Q57uprhk94
Encouraging news for folks like me who are very concerned that the needed AI buildout not burden regular American ratepayers:
@IERenergy finds that data centers have not tended to raise consumer bills!
In fact, "rising electricity demand is associated with smaller price increases."
Why? Because electric grids have high fixed costs. More sales help spread out those costs.
Renewables mandates and forced scarcity of reliable fuels increase costs.
Gavin Newsom wants to avoid blame for California gas prices skyrocketing.
However, his policies tanked in-state oil production, raised foreign imports to 63.5%, and forced Californians to pay $20B extra in 2025 alone.
California has significant remaining oil resource potential. It could expand in-state production. It could work to support more oil development in Alaska rather than opposing it. Either path would reduce foreign energy dependence and put downward pressure on prices.
New from @TomJPyle: "When the choice is between playing political games or pursuing sound policies, Democrats will choose the former every time."

Sen. Schumer blames Trump for high energy costs in his latest speech, but conveniently ignores how blue-state policies have kept electricity & gas prices sky-high for years.
On the latest episode of The Unregulated Podcast, @TomJPyle & Mike McKenna break down the Iran conflict’s impact on energy markets, Senate permitting talks restarting, and China’s oil dilemma.
