Analysis of three crypto law cases by @TheBlock__
Among them, one class action lawsuit against @BankofAmerica and @Visa
The fundamental questions are:
How should #crypto purchases be characterized?
Should high fees incur?
And are #cryptos money?

It is unlikely that all #innovations conform to Gartner's hype cycle.
Which ones - and why some and not others? These are questions to which we should want good answers.

2018, and still discussing whether VR is an 'empathy machine.' (It isn't.) We're now asked to understand blockchain as a 'trust machine.' (It isn't).

Congrats to Dapper. It is surely a rich feeling to know that you are helping demonstrate the power of technology to bring new levels of efficiency to time-wasting, and to the strategic parting of fools and their money. A most edifying product, indeed.

"Cryptos are like the Internet in 1993"
@wences and @benedictevans' analogy hint that cryptos will likely survive, just like the Internet did.

BOGUS!... Pace the writer of this article, we do not think we may conclude from Kenigsberg're review that the film "Trust Machine" is "a solid teaching aid.

“Humans inherently share the air,... [etc.] collectively but we often forget that in our world currently ruled by the notion of private ownership." Lovely article, almost a psalm. But a humane distinction between mine & thine is worth preserving.

@marcnim Enjoyable, & have shared with the AEIOU; but Le Bon (1896) et al are guilty of the fallacy of composition. Crowds "behave" (as do flocks, swarms), but do not have a psychology. We attend to common motives etc., but punt to individuals, not crowds.

LUX ET...? Investment by Harvard, MIT, etc. into crypto may mean no more than that these top-flight institutions wish to get bums on seats as they punt courses, e-learning modules, etc. Failure to invest in course subject matter would suggest bad faith.
