@vangearman@mattvensel Comparing keeping the Big 3 (and Guentzel/Rust) to anything the Canucks have done, well, ever is. . .an opinion.
Each RH addition/deletion made the roster worse. A small, slow, can't score on EV expensive "3C", with 2 more yrs, wasn't a miss, it was consistent with his "work".
@chadjennings22@jcmccaffrey That's nice. I'm glad they're paying people who don't score runs/get opponents out. I'm sure they're spending lavishly on PR, too.
Meanwhile, Mookie and Xander are indefensibly in the NL West and the Sox will "fight" with the Orioles for the AL East basement.
*golf clap*
@SeifertESPN Well put, and he likely also has a (perhaps accurate) view of what is possible to achieve, and what isn't.
As we saw with the Riveron-led PI reviews, sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.
@MatthewColler@LaVelleNeal It incorporates a lot of the previously unused material in the novel "You Only Live Twice", where he's presumed dead with a child being left behind.
Spectre ended with him walking into the sunset/London fog. It would have been odd to have the same ending, again.
@Purple_Insider@MatthewColler@PaulHodowanic Is losing to the Jints in a one score game materially different from winning it and then promptly losing to SF by 35?
Either way, it was credit-card spending for a flawed roster.
@dantaylor26@MatthewColler Shouldn't he be fired anyway? If, e.g., Trevy Larry wildly overthrows a WR again and the Bolts win, the decision remains equally atrocious.
@alexspeier@jcmccaffrey No problem. I heard the touching and topical remarks today about home grown stars.
What if Xander plays SS and Mookie plays RF? That would help, no?
@MatthewColler The OL working together, assuredly. Cousins being behind it for this game? It's great he didn't get hurt, but gosh that was an incredibly unnecessary risk to assume.
@SeifertESPN Even if the actual coverage drops are rare, Hunter became the youngest to 50 sacks coming out of 3 and 4 point stances. Asking him to be in a 2 point stance, jam a slot receiver and *then* rush standing up is a material change and "fixing" what certainly was not broken.
@Str8_Cash_Homey KOC didn't cause GB to start OTs from the longshoremen's union and terrible WRs, NOLA to have half their starters missing, and DET to kick an absurd FG.
Post hoc, ergo proctor hoc. . .KOC could be great, but let's wait until he's actually good before renaming Hennepin.
