It is with deep sorrow that I learned last night of the passing of DSP Zamani Tanko (Rtd) who was a faithful aide to my dear brother and our Party Leader Senator Henry Seriake Dickson for over 15 years.
This morning, I visited Senator Dickson to share in his grief and that of his entire team. DSP Zamani served with loyalty and dedication, and his loss will be felt by all who knew him.
On behalf of myself and my family, I extend heartfelt condolences to Senator Dickson, DSP Zamani's family, and everyone touched by his life.
May God Almighty who called him home grant him eternal rest in His kingdom; and continue to bless his family always. -PO
OK Movement invites all supporters and members of the public to the Official Flag-Off of the OK Movement, Plateau State Chapter.
Date: 20th June, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM Prompt
Venue: Ezinifite Town Hall, Opp. Gidan Bege, No. 2 Boundary Street, Jos, Plateau State.
Come and be part of this historic gathering as we continue to build a people-driven movement for a better Nigeria.
Nigeria Will be OK!
Today, mothers are burying their children. Children are becoming orphans. Farmers are abandoning their farms.
Communities are being displaced, businesses are collapsing, travelers are afraid to move from one town to another.
Yet, many of those entrusted with the responsibility of protecting Nigerians continue to speak as if this tragedy has become normal.
Let me state clearly and without ambiguity: insecurity has become the greatest threat to the unity, stability and prosperity of Nigeria.
Every day we hear of another village attacked, another family kidnapped, another community displaced, another security officer killed in the line of duty.
These are not mere statistics, these are human beings, these are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters whose lives have been cut short by criminals who appear to be operating with increasing boldness.
We have lost brave military officers, experienced commanders and courageous soldiers who dedicated decades of their lives to defending this country, their sacrifices must not be in vain.
To President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all elected leaders across Nigeria, we say respectfully but firmly: the time for promises has passed; the time for action is now.
Nigerians are tired of condolences without solutions.
Nigerians are tired of visiting attack sites after lives have already been lost.
Nigerians are tired of hearing that security challenges are being addressed while communities continue to suffer repeated attacks.
The government must demonstrate the same level of urgency it would demonstrate if these attacks were happening in the nation's highest corridors of power.
We acknowledge the efforts of our armed forces, police, intelligence agencies and other security personnel. Many of them are risking their lives daily under difficult circumstances.
However, those responsible for policy formulation and implementation must provide the leadership, resources, intelligence support and political will required to defeat these enemies of our nation.
To those who say only God can solve Nigeria's insecurity, we say this: God has given leaders authority, resources, institutions and responsibilities.
Prayer must be accompanied by action. Faith must be accompanied by commitment. Leadership must be accompanied by results.
The insecurity confronting Nigeria is not insurmountable. Other nations have faced similar challenges and overcome them through strong political will, effective intelligence gathering, advanced technology, proper coordination among security agencies, protection of borders and the prosecution of criminal sponsors regardless of their influence.
Why should Nigeria be different?
Enough is enough.
Enough of banditry.
Enough of kidnapping.
Enough of cattle rustling.
Enough of Boko Haram terrorism.
Enough of Lakurawa attacks.
Enough of innocent blood being shed across our land.
The Northern Comrades Movement of Nigeria wishes to put all levels of government on notice that Nigerians are watching. Citizens are becoming increasingly frustrated, and rightly so.
We shall continue to mobilize public opinion, engage stakeholders, advocate reforms and demand accountability through every constitutional and democratic means available to us.
We are not calling for excuses. We are calling for solutions. We are not demanding miracles. We are demanding leadership. We are not seeking sympathy. We are seeking action.
History will judge every leader not by the speeches they delivered, but by the lives they protected.
The blood of innocent Nigerians must not become a footnote in our national history.
Let this press conference serve as a wake-up call to all those entrusted with public responsibility. The security of the people is non-negotiable. The safety of Nigerians must come first.
May Allah protect our nation, comfort the families of victims, strengthen our security personnel and grant our leaders the wisdom and courage to do what is right.
Thank you.
This latest assault on our democracy must not be allowed to stand. The court-ordered deregistration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other opposition parties is nothing short of a brazen attempt to strangle Opposition and hand Nigeria over to a one-party state by judicial fiat.
I have fought for democracy my entire adult life. I stood on the streets for #BringBackOurGirls, I have spoken truth to power under different administrations, and I entered partisan politics because I believe in a Nigeria where citizens have real choices and not a predetermined outcome. Today, I condemn in the strongest possible terms the Federal High Court judgment that seeks to deregister ADC, Accord Party, Action Alliance, Action Peoples Party, and Zenith Labour Party.
Section 225A of the Constitution was never intended to be a weapon for eliminating opposition voices. The judiciary is once again showing that it is willing tool for perpetuating injustice instead of enforcing justice.
To INEC and the forces behind this judgment, Nigerians have endured too much economic hardship, insecurity, and broken promises to now accept the death of democracy. This democracy we now enjoy was made possible by the sacrifices of a lot of Nigerians, some of whom paid the ultimate price. They gave their lives for Nigeria to be a democratic nation.
To my fellow citizens, this is not a time to be silent. This is not about ADC or any single party. This is about whether Nigeria will remain a democracy or slide into authoritarian rule where only one voice is permitted. Raise your voices. Demand that INEC respects the will of the people and that the judiciary stops being used as a tool for political elimination.
Democracy is not a gift from those in power; it is a right we must defend every single day. I stand with every Nigerian who believes in choice, in competition of ideas, and in a future where no one can simply deregister the opposition out of existence.

PRESS STATEMENT BY THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF THE NORTHERN COMRADES MOVEMENT OF NIGERIA (NCMN), MALLAM JABIR IBRAHIM YARO, AT THE WORLD PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE THEME: "THE SECURITY SITUATION ACROSS THE 19 NORTHERN STATES AND NIGERIA AS A WHOLE: A CALL FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION"
15 TH June 2026
Gentlemen of the Press,
Today, the Northern Comrades Movement of Nigeria addresses the nation with a deep sense of concern, patriotism, and urgency regarding the deteriorating security situation across the nineteen Northern States and the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a whole.
Nigeria is passing through one of the most challenging security periods in its recent history. Across the North-West, North-East, North-Central, South-West, South-South and south-east Nigeria, innocent citizens continue to lose their lives to banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, communal conflicts, cattle rustling, and other violent criminal activities.
From January to June 2026 alone, numerous communities in Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi, Kaduna, Niger, Benue, Plateau, Borno, Yobe, Oyo and other states have experienced devastating attacks. Hundreds of innocent citizens have been killed, many more injured, while thousands of families have been displaced from their homes.
Particularly alarming is the situation in the North-West, where bandits continue to attack villages, abduct school children and travelers, impose illegal levies on rural communities, rustle livestock, and disrupt economic activities. Farmers are increasingly unable to access their farmlands, thereby threatening food security and worsening poverty across the region.
Equally troubling is the resurgence of terrorist activities by Boko Haram, ISWAP, and emerging criminal groups such as Lakurawa operating in parts of the North-West and North-Central regions. These threats continue to undermine the sacrifices of our gallant security personnel and expose innocent citizens to untold hardship.
As an organization committed to justice, peace and national development, we are deeply disturbed by the growing number of military officers and security personnel who have paid the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Among those reportedly lost in recent years are Brigadier General Musa Uba, Major General Abubakar Rabe (Rtd.), Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah, Lieutenant Colonel S.I. Iliyasu, Lieutenant Colonel Umar Farouq, Colonel Aliyu Saidu Paiko, and Lieutenant Colonel Umar Ibrahim Mairiga, among others.
We have also witnessed reports of attacks on military formations, the loss of camp commanders in operational theatres, attacks involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and the deaths of officers and soldiers who dedicated decades of their lives to defending Nigeria. These losses represent not only personal tragedies for their families but also a painful loss of experience, leadership and institutional knowledge for our armed forces.
The Northern Comrades Movement of Nigeria notes with concern the growing public perception that insecurity is becoming normalized. We refuse to accept such a situation. No nation can develop when its citizens live in fear. No economy can thrive when farmers cannot cultivate their lands, traders cannot move freely, and investors lack confidence in the safety of their investments.
We recently took note of comments attributed to the Honourable Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa attributing the worsening insecurity situation to the current war between Iran and Israel and the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, suggesting that only God can solve the insecurity challenges facing the country. While we acknowledge Almighty God as the ultimate source of protection and guidance, we respectfully submit that those entrusted with public office also have constitutional responsibilities that cannot be delegated, so Iran/Israel war should not be an excuse to the defence sector.
Your PVC is more than a card; it is your voice, your power, and your responsibility. Every election is an opportunity to shape the future we desire. Don’t sit on the sidelines and complain participate, vote, and be part of the change. Together, we can build a nation founded on good governance, accountability, and shared prosperity. Register, collect your PVC, and make your vote count. Nigeria will be OK. 🇳🇬✊🏾
Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths,
After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cup—at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absent—I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth.
You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead.
It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire.
In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18—enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future.
I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender.
You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership.
If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation.
Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future.
I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country.
My young friends, this is your country. Take it back.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
Dickson, Obi, Kwankwaso have a historic opportunity not because they are special but because providence may have decided to grease the machine of Nigeria’s democracy through their partnership. They have a duty to posterity to keep their eyes on the ball. This is how men are made
Insecurity: Nigeria Cannot Continue Like This
I received with deep shock and sadness the tragic death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who reportedly died while in the custody of kidnappers. Earlier, before this heartbreaking news, I also received disturbing reports of renewed bandit attacks in Sokoto and Kwara States.
The armed bandits reportedly blocked a market route in Sokoto and abducted traders, while terrorists invaded communities in Kwara State, kidnapping scores of citizens and killing innocent people, are heartbreaking and alarming. These incidents are not isolated tragedies; they are clear manifestations of the deepening security crisis confronting our nation.
But particularly painful is the reported death of Major General Rabe Abubakar, a distinguished military officer who dedicated a significant part of his life to defending Nigeria and protecting its citizens. It is tragic that a man who served his fatherland with honour, rose through the ranks of the Nigerian Armed Forces, and retired after years of meritorious service, would meet such a heartbreaking end at the hands of criminal elements. His death is a national tragedy and a sobering indictment of the insecurity that has engulfed our country.
When traders can no longer travel safely to markets, farmers cannot access their farms, communities live under constant fear, and even retired senior military officers are not spared from the menace of kidnapping and violent crime, it becomes evident that our nation is facing a grave security emergency.
Security remains the foremost responsibility of any government. Every life lost, every citizen abducted, and every community displaced represent a painful failure of our collective duty to protect the Nigerian people. The recurring attacks in Sokoto, Kwara, and many other parts of the country demonstrate that insecurity is not only persisting but spreading in both scope and intensity.
I once again urge the Federal Government and our security agencies to move beyond rhetoric and adopt a more proactive, intelligence-driven, technology-based, and coordinated approach to tackling insecurity. We must strengthen our security architecture, improve intelligence gathering, secure our borders, equip and motivate our security personnel, and ensure that those responsible for these heinous crimes are apprehended and brought to justice.
A nation where citizens live in fear cannot prosper. A nation where economic activities are disrupted daily by criminal elements cannot attract investment, create jobs, or guarantee a better future for its people. We must urgently reclaim every part of our country from terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and all criminal gangs threatening our collective existence.
My heartfelt condolences go to the family of Major General Rabe Abubakar, his former colleagues in the Armed Forces, and all Nigerians who have lost loved ones to insecurity. I also sympathise with the families of those killed, those abducted, and the affected communities in Sokoto, Kwara, and across the nation.
The recurring tragedies and embarrassing security failures we continue to witness make the quest for a New Nigeria not only necessary but inevitable. We must build a nation where every citizen can live, work, travel, and pursue legitimate economic activities without fear.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
Peter Obi, the man I support....
The man I will vote for.....
The man my family members will vote for ...
The man to curb corruption in Nigeria ...
The man to set Nigeria on the right trajectory...
The man that will restore Nigeria lost glory before the league of Nations..
Today, I am honoured to join distinguished Nigerians in celebrating a statesman and elder of our nation, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, GCFR, on the occasion of his 84th birthday and the public presentation of books documenting his remarkable life, service, and contributions to Nigeria and Africa.
General Abdulsalami occupies a unique place in our national history. At a critical moment in Nigeria's journey, he demonstrated uncommon courage, patriotism, and selflessness by guiding our nation through a peaceful transition to democratic governance. His actions helped lay the foundation for the democratic dispensation that Nigeria continues to build upon today.
As we celebrate General Abdulsalami today, we are reminded that true leadership is measured not by the accumulation of power, but by the positive impact one leaves on people and institutions. His life continues to demonstrate that service to the nation must always be guided by responsibility and a commitment to the common good.
May Almighty God continue to grant him good health, wisdom, and strength to keep serving humanity and our nation.
Thank you, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO
