Friendly warning to my friends who aren’t in education. Whatever you do, don’t tell a teacher how lucky they are because they get so many holidays. Just don’t.

If you’re talking to a Young Learner teacher about their job, never ever compare it to that time you worked as a babysitter. Just don’t. That conversation will not end well for you.
If you stop labeling children as difficult or challenging and instead remind yourself that they are just experiencing a difficult or challenging moment, you become a more compassionate teacher.
Ummm, question. How are you supposed to have a full time teaching job, attend staff meetings, lesson plan, participate in CPD, maintain a social life, cook and clean, follow self-care routines AND have hobbies? Seems unrealistic unless you are on amphetamines.
