#MotoGP has banned holeshot devices with immediate effect, meaning riders will no longer be able to use them from this weekend’s #DutchGP.

From the #GermanGP, grid spacing across all classes will increase from three to four metres between riders, stretching the gap between rows from nine to 12 metres.

A six-bike limit per manufacturer will also become an official rule from 2028.

1953 – Happy Birthday to Satoru Nakajima

Born #OnThisDay in Aichi, Japan he is a 5x Japanese F2 champion, and became the country’s first full-time F1 driver.

From 1987 to 1991, he raced for Lotus and Tyrrell and with strong ties to Honda, the two teams used its engines in his first two years at Lotus and his final year at Tyrrell. Nakajima finished 4th at the '87 British, & '89 Australian GPs, also setting the fastest lap in the wet, at Adelaide.

After Honda ended its engine supply in 1992, Nakajima left racing to focus on developing the Honda F1 car, the RC 101, which he tested in 1993 at Suzuka. Despite the project’s cancellation, Nakajima’s impact on the sport remained; he is the father of former Williams F1 driver Kazuki Nakajima.
