Think I should clarify even if it was glaringly obvious: this game has been cancelled for a couple years now. Everyone on the team agreed to let the franchise go (you know why), and we’ve since went our separate ways. Sorry this was posted so late.
@ThomasT1P Unsure if it’ll be reopened, and I don’t think now would be a good time to do so regardless. Might think about it in the future, but no promises, sorry
This is not an admission of guilt.
When his response comes out, he is going to use whatever words she said when she was unwell and vulnerable against her. He is going to shift the blame like he has been doing since the incident.
Do not let Zeal get away with this.
I am aware of the document currently being shared and the serious allegations it contains.
It is a difficult situation involving personal things between people, and I understand why people are concerned. Due to the sensitive nature of this, I ask that it be approached with care. I want to address this personally. I also want to say that i never intended for my personal situation to impact the game or my team working on it. I know many developers and contributors care deeply about this project, and I regret that this situation is affecting them.
Ren and I had a personal relationship, and we met up at RDC. From my perspective and records, those interactions were mutual and consensual at that time. We continued communicating even after the conference, and there was no indication that boundaries had been crossed in the way the document states. This is reflected in our conversations before, during, and after the events.
With recognition that people can experience situations differently, I want to emphasize that I do not want to dismiss how someone else may feel.
There are important parts of this situation that are not fully represented publicly. After these events, private and sensitive information about our interactions was shared with multiple people without my consent, despite me expressing discomfort with that. This created a significant breach of trust and contributed heavily to the breakdown of communication between us.
Following RDC, the situation became more complicated as more people became involved and private matters were shared beyond what I was comfortable with. This led to a breakdown in trust and communication, and I made the decision to step back and create distance.
I also want to acknowledge that I did not handle every part of this situation perfectly. There were moments where I could have communicated better and acted more carefully, and I take responsibility for that.
Because of the seriousness of the claims being made, I am taking the time to review everything thoroughly so that my further responses are responsible and respectful.
In the meantime, I ask the community for a few things, please do not harass or target anyone, do not spread unverified claims as confirmed facts, and please allow space for a proper and complete response.
I understand emotions are high, but reacting without full context can cause further harm to everyone involved.
I'll have a more detailed response to share soon.
@bigfartalert She went limp after crying and venting, then, without warning, he pinned her and started having sex with her. She told him it hurt, repeatedly, and he continued. In what world is that consensual??
Remembered I have more followers here. Zeal, the project lead of Pressure, manipulated and sexually assaulted someone at RDC. Several members of his team were complicit, and helped push a false narrative. Do not support Pressure in any way, and please go support Ren. Thank you.
@bigfartalert There are around 200 pages extensively going through everything that happened, and going through it all was sickening. I’d suggest going through it yourself if you able to and feel comfortable doing so
@TweenService Of course! I’m horrible at posting consistently on my main but I still look through Twitter a lot, so I log into this account on the blue moon I hear AF2 brought up again lol. Feel free to reach out if you need to, otherwise best of luck!
@TweenService I actually grew up sketching ideas for my own AF1 remake funnily enough, before eventually working on AF:COS and AF3 when that was still a thing lol. Again, I’ve been there lmao, it’s just that the situation is a lot more complicated than I think a lot of people are aware of
@TweenService Personally I think if you have the talent to make a good AF2 remake you should use that talent to make a game to call your own. Saying this as someone who was in the same position. Plus the franchise (from what I remember) is in a weird position legally so there’s that
@KixCerealMan most i’d be willing to do if the game isn’t reviewed is screenshots/information, i’m 90% sure if we uploaded the files somewhat would try and continue it which i don’t think any of us would like
@dotIPAfile @KixCerealMan none of us cared enough to fill out the questionnaire, theoretically it’ll get manually reviewed since it’s over 1000 visits but i don’t think we mind either way honestly
@KixCerealMan lots of the repainted team were already stars align devs so yeah, although it was long enough ago now that many of us have since moved on to our own projects
@KixCerealMan yeah fair, i think its quality was probably why we stopped working on it LOL
we started it as a fun side project during af3’s development, but after the rebrand we all agreed our time was better spent making games we could actually call our own
@burner137236499 @b0nem4rw truth nuke
everyone likes to forget how much his rot affected both his games and the victims involved. i’m eternally thankful i don’t hear about it nearly as much anyone
Hey all! For those wondering where World 3 is, it’s currently on hold while our scripter is busy with other projects and vacation. Lots of our developers are also busy. Repainted is just a side project, so you may have to be patient while we work on our own things. Thanks!
@GrenAleks We’re on a brief hiatus while our scripter is working on other projects and we plan out some stuff, World 3 will continue development once we’re all ready. Glad to hear you liked it, thank you!
