Our Education and Communities team have been busy across the city during the October holidays delivering free Extra Time sessions at ASV and Manor Park.

Although there are some familiar faces, we are excited to announce that we have two new additions to the AFCCT family who will be working on the expansion and delivery of Extra Time across the North East!

🔴 £1.2 Million Community Pitch Project Gets Underway at Cormack Park.

Thanks to funding from The Pitching In Fund, supported by The UK Government, alongside funding from the Scottish FA through its Member Support programme, the Scottish Football Partnership Trust and significant additional investment from the Cormack Family Foundation, the third community pitch's construction is underway.

The new pitch will allow AFCCT to improve and expand community football opportunities with a particular focus on increasing participation amongst underrepresented groups.

🌟 We would like to congratulate AFCCT Trustee, Sylvia Halkerston OBE, for receiving an OBE!

Sylvia was honoured recently at a ceremony in Windsor Castle and has been recognised for her work in developing strong links between education and industry and enabling young people to take opportunities to realise their potential.

Sylvia played a pivotal role in developing initiatives which developed employability skills and championed apprenticeship programmes.

Week One of Extra Time camps were kicked-off by a visit from the @AberdeenWomen ahead of their match against The Spartans next weekend at Pittodrie.

The camp participants received free tickets to the match and had a chance to talk to the players. 😁

Extra Time camps will return for week 2 of the holidays at Manor Park with lots of activities lined-up - we look forward to seeing you all there!👋

Today the AFC Women's captain, Maddie Finnie, alongside Katie O'Hanlon and Piper Lea dropped in past the AFCCT Girls Only camp at ASV!

The girls were given the opportunity to ask the trio questions about their careers and experiences as football players as well as receiving a bespoke signed top.

As a thank you from the players, each participant went home with free tickets for the AFC Women's match at Pittodrie next weekend 🔥

Earlier this week our Community and Events Fundraiser, Debra, joined Finlay and Sandy live on air @shmuORG to discuss Challenge Poverty Week and AFCCT's place in the community.

The Trust offers a variety of programmes from Pittodrie Stadium that are aimed at tackling poverty as well as helping those who are socially isolated - they are free to attend and open to anyone who would like to come along!
