RIP Roger

RIP Roger Payne (1948-2026)

It is with unimaginable sadness that we announce that majority shareholder of Chesham United, Roger Payne, unexpectedly passed away today. We are all still in shock and will make further updates as and when appropriate.

Our thoughts are with Roger’s wife and his family at this moment in time.

Great effort from a young squad today beating Elmhurst First 4-3, grinding it out in the second half to get the 3 points.

Goals coming from Yuvva Raj x 2 and 2 free kicks from @dannylane254 which somehow ended up in the net.

Septembers player of the month award goes to central midfielder Ewan. He has been a great addition to the team bringing bags of energy and physicality and he managed to round the month off with a goal in Saturdays draw against Yately.

Congratulations Ewan #GreenArmy💚
