France 2026 update: Unfortunately there are currently delays in Calais affecting our tunnel crossing, so our return journey will be later than planned. We will provide a further update once we have an ETA for arriving back on British soil!
Our final visit of the trip was to the snail farm, where we learned all about how snails are grown and the important role they play in French culture and cuisine π«π·π A fascinating experience and a brilliant way to finish our adventure!
Another brilliant day yesterday on our France trip! π«π· We spent the day at , the biggest Sealife centre in Europe, before heading to for some seaside fun. It was just about warm enough for a game on the beach! πποΈ
Our day has been full of learning, unforgettable experiences and solemn respect as we visited the Passchendaele Museum, Tyne Cot Cemetery and the Menin Gate. A particularly moving moment came when two of our pupils found the names of distant relatives who lost their lives in WWI.
France trip 2026- We are settled in at the chateau and have enjoyed an evening meal and some team activities. Some tired eyes are appearing. We will get some well needed rest and head out to the St Omer market in the morning.
The children loved the scenic drive through the beautiful countryside of Northern France on their way to Chocolaterie de Beussent! π«π·π«
They learned all about the chocolate making process from tree to mouth and even had the chance to try some of the finished items.

π«π· 2025: Last night was full of laughs as the pupils took on relay games and the chaotic fun of 'egg splat'! They also had the chance to try snails , a few turned them down, but they were surprisingly popular with some brave taste testers!
π«π· 2025: Our pupils had an unforgettable adventure at NausicaΓ‘ β the largest sea life centre in Europe! From manta rays to sea lions, it was a day full of discovery, wonder, and learning about marine life.
π«π· 2025: This afternoon our pupils paid their respects at Tyne Cot, the worldβs largest Commonwealth war cemetery. An emotional and humbling experience. We then visited the Menin Gate and explored the historic town of Ypres, deepening our understanding of WWI and its legacy.
