The Fire Service and the council's StreetCare teams are dealing with flooding across several areas of South Glos.
A number of roads are affected including the following which are currently closed and unlikely to clear quickly:
• A431 Bath Rd Swineford
• Shire Way Yate (and adjacent roads)
• St Johns Way Chipping Sodbury (and adjacent roads)
• Stidcot Lane Tytherington
• Perrinpitt Lane
• Old Gloucester Rd Winterbourne
Please avoid these areas.
❗️We are currently in attendance at a large fire in the #Winterbourne area.
We are asking people to avoid the Swan Lane, Winterbourne area at this time, and for local residents to ensure their windows and doors are shut whilst we deal with this incident.
The #M4 is CLOSED in both directions between J18 #Bath and J17 #Chippenham due to a serious collision.
Emergency services are on scene.

🚒INCIDENT: Crews are currently in attendance at a burst water main in Bristol.
💧Please avoid the area around the Children’s Hospital where possible.

Appliances from Clevedon, Weston, Blagdon, Nailsea, Kingswood, Temple, and Yate are currently in attendance at a fire in Yatton. There is heavy smoke in the area and road closures in place. Please avoid where possible and keep doors and windows closed.
